HONG KONG |  Superga has us accustomed to the perfect blend of a century’s old heritage with the latest trends. The SS16 upcoming collection takes their usual fusion of fabrics, patterns and materials one step further by collaborating with South Korean designer Yong Bae Seok. This year Yong Bae Seok collaborates with Superga’s iconic LOVE DESIGN collection to reinterpret the classic vulcanized model. Getting his inspiration from Italy’s car industry and created an innovative pattern and texture imitating the interior of a car. His designs for Superga come in bold colours such green, orange, gold and silver. The Yong Bae Seok moved to Torino in 2000 and has made from Italy his creative base. In addition to Superga, the designer has worked for many footwear brands like BALLY, Geox, Dolce & Gabanna and Diesel. He specializes in providing contemporary and innovative designs with a twist.
