GRAPHIC DESIGN IN SPAIN: FROM TRADE TO PROFESSION (1940-1980)

BARCELONA | EXHIBITION: Upon the end of the Spanish Civil Wars creative professionals working in the field of what we call today 'Graphic Design' were referred to as commercial artists and poster designers. Their work was representative of an era and culture. Progressively these creatives became known as graphic artists and finally graphic designers as their job professionalized.  The Barcelona Design Museum showcases the journey of Graphic Design in Spain starting with iconic works created in the 1940 until the 1980.
