EXHIBITION: CHINA’S MING DINASTY THROUGH ART

BARCELONA |A fascinating selection of 126 pieces from The Golden Empire period are on display at the CaixaForum Museum in Barcelona. They include paintings, ceramics, bone china, porcelain, calligraphy, subtle embroideries and treasures. A 13’5m length painting representing women at leisure; and Matteo Ricci’s Map of the Myriad Countries of the World are some of the most impressive art pieces. The exhibition highlights the huge cultural, economical and administrative achievements in China during the Ming Dinasty period. The masterpieces give an overview of that era and its global influence during the years 1368 to 1644. On display until 30th September 2016
