BARCELONA |  Interesting shapes, incredible elements and natural forms. The jewels created by Elena Estaun are the result of  an eclectic combination of design and unconventional forms and structures with a touch of ethnic  sophistication. Elena Estaun is a young and creative jewellery designer, born and based in Barcelona.  She earned her post-graduate education abroad; in the  prestigious St. Martin’s School in London and Parson’s School in New York. In fact, Elena loves traveling as she finds it  probably the best way to nurture her creative talent and enrich herself with new ideas and experiences. She gets inspired  while she is in motion. For instance, Elena’s close cooperation with the best local workshops  and ateliers brings her regularly to Italy. The essence of her designs  is “Conceptual jewellery based in transforming objects  into  art”.  The items are made with high quality materials such  gold, silver, brass, gemstones and black diamonds,  combined with silk or rubber.  She  is not afraid of inventing new shapes using a variety of daily life items such screws, keys, hinges and other elements in a new way. Organic shapes are also present in many of Elena’s designs: the wild beauty of back bone necklaces and fossil belts; or even the head of a snake are assembled into sophisticated accessories,  stunning rings, necklaces, pendants, micro spine earrings, belts or bracelets,  which are surprisingly easy to wear.  In other words, her captivating proposals personalize any outfit. Nonetheless, Elena did not open her store and showroom until a year ago, driven by the increasing success of her designs. The boutique is located in one of the best areas in Barcelona, well-known for having many exclusive luxury boutiques.  The space is very seductive, and it quickly invites costumers to get in and discover Elena’s distinctive creations. It’s for sure a shopping venue coveted by women who value elegance with a twist of bold glamour. Elena has also recently launched a successful men collection, under the brand ESTAUN. And since the store is located close to the Turó Park, a beautiful garden created at the beginning of the 20th century,  I’d suggest you allow yourself an enjoyable walk trough the park’s peaceful paths, under magnolias and palm trees. Likewise, do not leave the area without  taking some time to stroll around  the neighborhood and  visit its elegant boutiques. PHOTOS COURTESY OF ELENA ESTAUN. Elena Estaun Address: Ferran Agullò, 1
