BARCELONA | EXHIBITION: Barcelona's Museum of Design reviews the shift in moral, social and aesthetic codes since the 16th Century and how these changes altered the shape and appearance of their bodies through clothes.
The exhibition Dressing the Body shows how evolving standards of beauty led to different fashion trends where volume and shapes determined the way women dressed. From increasing, reducing, elongating, and profiling to the freer silhouettes of the 20th Century focused in revealing the female's body.
