CAT STREET SHOPPING GUIDE: SECOND-HAND STORES
By 0 Comments
|
TOKYO | The style of second-hand stores in Cat Street is more sophisticated and probably less urban than the average Harajuku venues. And in fact most of the used clothing stores of the area feature a hipster/edgy unisex style, which makes it a good choice to hunt good bargains for the trendy boyfriend look.
RAGTAG
Head to Ragtag if looking for well preserved second-hand clothes from high-end brands. The well-established chain was established 29 years ago in Tokyo and now it has more than a dozen branches across the country. The items are well organized by styles and trends. The ground floor is more casual with less expensive choices. The second floor hides some pearls from big international designers such Yohji Yamamoto and Marc Jacobs. Check out the handbags and shoes too. The third floor has a very cool cafeteria to chill out and a buy and sell corner.

GO GETTER
Unisex is the trend here. All the well-preserved clothes Go Getter carries fit both men and women. The style is very casual, jeans and sweaters, shirts and backpacks and some hats. Laid back but smart. No dresses or skirts.

SIDE CAR CHARLIE
The atmosphere at thrift store Sidecar Charlie is different than Pigsty’s and Go Getter’s. The store is small but stuffed with vintage and other used-clothing for both men and women. And for those who are patient enough to explore the racks thoroughly, some rewarding finds await to be discovered.
